Retained Pregnancy Tissue
Following miscarriage, childbirth, or termination of pregnancy, small amounts of tissue may remain inside the uterus. This can cause bleeding, infection, pelvic pain, or delayed recovery.
Hysteroscopy enables safe and targeted removal of retained tissue while protecting the healthy uterine lining.
Embedded or Missing Coil (IUD)
Occasionally, an intrauterine device may become embedded within the uterine wall or its threads may no longer be visible.
A hysteroscopy provides a clear view of the uterus, allowing the device to be located and removed safely with minimal discomfort.
Fertility-Related Uterine Conditions
Some women experience fertility challenges due to abnormalities inside the uterus that may not appear clearly on ultrasound scans.
Hysteroscopy can identify:
- Small polyps
- Submucosal fibroids
- Scar tissue
- Congenital uterine abnormalities
- Endometrial changes affecting implantation
Identifying and treating these conditions may improve the chances of a healthy pregnancy.
