Donor Egg & Donor Sperm Treatment

Specialist assessment and support for individuals and couples considering donor conception

Deciding to use donor eggs or donor sperm can bring up a lot — grief for the path you’d originally imagined, hope for a new one, and plenty of questions about how it all actually works. You deserve a team who treats all of that with care, not just the medical logistics.

Our Donor Egg & Donor Sperm Treatment service supports individuals and couples through every part of this decision, from the emotional side to the practical and legal framework that governs donor conception in the UK.

This may be for you if:

Whatever led you here, this is a path many families have taken before you — and you don’t have to work out the practicalities alone.

How donor conception works, and what UK law means for you

Donor treatment in the UK is tightly regulated by the HFEA. Since April 2005, donors can no longer remain anonymous: any child born from a donor registered after this date can request their donor’s name, date of birth and last known address once they turn 18, with non-identifying information — such as physical description and medical history — available from age 16. Counselling is offered throughout the process, not just as a formality, but because this is a genuinely significant decision, and we want you to feel properly supported in making it.
