Consultant Gynaecologist, Fertility and IVF Specialist

Mr Efstathios (Stathis) Theodorou is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with over 25 years of dedicated experience helping patients achieve their dream of having a family.

With a warm, personalised approach, Mr Theodorou takes the time to truly understand your individual situation and builds a tailored treatment plan designed specifically for you — not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Professional profile

Mr Theodorou is passionate about translating the very latest research into real results for his patients. He has published multiple peer-reviewed studies in reproductive medicine and has held senior academic roles including supervising postgraduate students at University College London (UCL).

His career has included senior leadership positions at some of the UK’s most respected fertility centres, including Deputy Medical Director and Head of Surrogacy at the Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health (CRGH), and Medical Director at CARE Fertility London. He is an accredited trainer in pelvic ultrasound and embryo transfer, and regularly teaches GPs and healthcare professionals on the latest developments in fertility care.

Clinical Interest and Expertise

Mr Theodorou is known for making patients feel heard, supported, and informed at every step. His approach combines the most up-to-date science with genuine compassion — ensuring that your care is not only clinically excellent but feels right for you as a person.

Mr Efstathios Theodorou takes a different approach to fertility care. Rather than the fragmented experience common at high-volume clinics, where a consultant might only appear at a couple of key moments, he stays closely involved from your very first consultation right through scans and procedures to the end of treatment. His practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, and he places real importance on talking patients through their options in plain terms, so every decision about their fertility is one they make with confidence and full understanding.

Professional statement:

I believe every fertility journey is unique, and so should be every treatment plan. My commitment is to provide honest, evidence-based advice in a compassionate and supportive environment, ensuring that you feel informed, listened to, and empowered to make the decisions that are right for you. Whether you are just beginning your journey or have experienced previous setbacks, my goal is to work alongside you to maximise your chances of success while providing the highest standard of personalised care.
